These rules are just the general ones for the site:
- No SPAMing.
- No showing aggression towards other members.
- No use of inappropriate names.
- No posting inappropriate materials.
- No use of bad language. Remember there may be younger members than yourself on this site.
The administrator is able to ban any member at any time should they be found violating these rules.
Hogwart's Rules:
Once sorted, you are officially a pupil of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This means that you must abide by school rules to avoid receiving detention or, even worse, expulsion. The school rules are:
- Lessons must be attended regularly.
- Anyone who misses a lesson must have a plausible excuse i.e. a letter from a member of staff.
- Homework must be completed on time.
- All pupils must treat each other and members of staff with respect.
- The Forbidden Forest is OUT OF BOUNDS to ALL pupils!
- Pupils must not deface the property of others. This includes library books!
- Each post will gain a house point for that pupil.
- Any rule breaking will result in the deduction of house points.
- Bonus house points will be awarded when deserved.
- If you wish to start any clubs or hold a big event in The Wizarding World then you must first consult the Headmistress and get her approval.
- If the Headmistress does not allow you to carry out a plan, then pushing her will only make things worse.
- Staff meetings will be held monthly unless a member of staff feels the need for an emergency meeting. In these meetings, staff can discuss ways of improving things in The Wizarding World and ask my opinion on their teaching methods as well as discussing students behaviour/achievements.
- As this is primarily a roleplaying forum, users should take care not to roleplay on behalf of other members. It is up to each user to control their character and no-one elses. You may mention another characters reaction (e.g. a facial expression) but should not roleplay their movements or speech.
- Obviously certain people are better spellers than others and would like to point out that there is a "Spell Check" button that you can use when posting. It is encouraged that you make use of this button to ensure that others can properly understand what you are saying.
- If you are going away (in the real world) and know that you will be unable to post for some time, you must let us know by posting in the "Taking a trip?" thread before you go. This way I will know that you are only temporarily inactive and will not delete your account.
School Grades
The school works on the following marking system:
O - outstanding
E - exceeds expectation
A - acceptable
P - poor
D - dreadful
T - troll
